Need more info on the condensation drying system

Generally performs well in the time I™™ve had it. Similar to other GE wash machines I™™ve owned. First time getting an ADA machine due to the space constraints I have. Fewer features and more cost is the name of the game. Biggest issue is the drying system. This uses what is called a condensation drying system. There is no heating element. The problem is that GE spends no effort to explain how to optimize this process. It™™s not mentioned in the manuals and the sales guy at the appliance store had no real knowledge of this in this product. Until I researched it in other products I basically figured that this had no drying option resulting in me yelling at my sales guy. GE needs to do a better job at including this information so a buyer can make an informed decision.

Looks great, capacity small as expected, cleans great, noise level is fine - BUT It does not dry. Not your normal system - the machine's inside walls and top will be dripping wet. It is designed that way. Suppose to draw moisture off dishes and condensate on the walls. I am so disappointed - a lot of money to update a rental unit and to have all nice appliances then this.

Upon installation, it was discovered that the outside rubber gasket surrounding the exterior of the tub opening was all bent, crinkled and folded. Not repairable. That was due to careless packaging in the shipping crate. The service information supplied with a unit was actually pretty well incorrect as it sent me to the US. However, I discovered in the fine print below the page that there is a link to the Canadian GE site. I call that hidden. I contacted GE Canada and they are dealing with it properly. At least they™™re open on Saturday.

Terrible dishwasher. It seems to be made for very tiny thin dishes, which are not what our dishes consist of. The wash cycle is extraordinarily long, over two hours, and there is no real drying function. Even if you wash at night, the dishes are not dry by morning, relying on some supposed energy efficient system that really doesn't work. It's just a really bad and inefficient produce. Our apartment complex installed it and we are really unhappy with it.

We've had three problems with this brand new dishwasher so far in all of about two months of use. The door that holds the detergent pack in it sometimes doesn't open, which means that sometimes the detergent dissolves and sometimes it doesn't. A far more annoying issue is that the cycle only starts about half the time. A third issue is that GE customer support is absolute trash.

Completely satisfied with product. Before owning and operating the machine there was two important selling points. First, it was under 30 inches tall at its lowest setting for under counter and second it was standard width. I am thankful you have these for folks that live in older homes. Please continue being a source for these dimensioned machines.

Have it for 2 weeks. Seems to clean dishes well, but the design of the racks ESPECIALLY, the bottom rack is terrible. Alot of spaces not utilzed based on the low wires to hold dishes and placement of the wires(tines). The utensil rack is small and poorly placed, so I repurposed our old and longer Whirlpool utensil rack and placed it along the side. The bottom rack is lower and flimsier than what we had in the Whirlpool (seems like cutting corners to save on cost to manufacture the machine), and that is nothing compared to the door that feels like its made of aluminum foil. If it wasn't for the ADA height to fit our opening, I would have gone with a different unit.

The dishwasher cleans very well and is very easy to use. The one major draw back is that there is no dry function. Everything stays wet until I take it out and hand dry it. This is a major inconvenience and why I only give it 3 stars.

So far after about a month, this dishwasher has exceeded expectations and certainly is better than most if the reviews I have read. I use good detergent and finishing drying liquid and the dishes cone out dry, clean and fresh. The only negative us the controls on top, it's hard to see the remaining time etc since it is hidden beneath the counter.

Good so far. Runs fairly quiet, cleans pretty well. It is a little small but i dont have a ton of dishes so it works. I gave 4 and not 5 stars because theres little things like the silverware holder has a handle that barely stays on so ive dropped that a few times. Doesnt have a heated dry cycle but the condensation drying in these dishwashers use seems to work fairly decent as long as you load dishes so water wont pool in them. I did get a REALLY good deal from lowes though so if i would have spent more money im sure it would be a little lacking in ™features™ for the money in my opinion.

This dishwasher works fine. Was easier to install because of its shorter height. I am not a fan of the "water hose" type connection that, according to the installation document, recommends the rubber washer and stainless sheathed connecting hose be replaced every five years.

Terrible appliance. The dishwasher doesnt wash a full cycle every so often so we have to re do the cycle. Sometimes we have had to do it three times in order for it to wash. The controls are awful. Sometimes it takes forever to get the machine to start. Lastly, we cannot fill it completely because it will not wash at all. We have to wash half full cycles which is wasting water. Last but not least, the machine has developed a bunch of awful looking streaks in the front stainless steel panel which will not come off with any stainless steel cleaner. It looks terrible. Just a horrible product. Shame on GE.
