Interchangeable and fits old sleeve

I was able to google and find an interchangeable AC to replace our 2005 thru the wall unit which made it very easy. Google told me who sold them, but no one nearby does to individuals, but I was able to order thru Total Home Supply and they agreed on the model and shipped it right a way, so over all was pleased and installation wasn't too hard either. Seems to be cooling well so far.

Air conditioner is very noisy and cool features do not work well. If you put it on ™€œsleep™€ mode, (although there is a little less noise), it continually increases the temperature while you sleep so you wake up sweating! The only reason I didn™€™t return it is because it be is only GE that fits my wall sleeve although it™€™s shape doesn™€™t fit as perfect as the old ones. It™€™s a bit too big so it had to be caulked to fit!

This is the only AC unit that my building allows us to install. The AC is ginormous and is not very quiet. I think it's overpriced at +$1,300 not including the chassis for an AC that lasts for about 3 years. This is my 4th unit in 9 years. This is no energy saver either. My electric bill is thru the roof because of how inefficient this unit is. It doesn't get very cold either no matter if I set the thermometer to the lowest setting. But I think it's the type of unit which makes it expensive and highly inefficient.
